Spring Conference Details:
LOCATION: Campus by the Sea, Catalina Island DATES: Sunday, June 9th - Thursday June 13th We will meet at OCC in front of Watson Hall to carpool to the San Pedro Dock. We will arrive back at the San Pedro Dock at TBD Afternoon COST: $285 (includes the $50 non-refundable deposit) Scholarship applications available (contact Noël). Deadline to register: Friday, May 31st 3 STEPS TO SECURE YOUR SPOT 1. Pay $50 for the non-refundable Fall Conference Deposit - Pay online at the time of registration - Pay by cash or check (made to "IVCF" with "OCC Spring Con" in memo line) to Noël. No one is allowed to arrive or leave the conference early except for weddings and funerals, if we can arrange the boats. WHAT TO BRING Sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, toiletries (hot showers and bathroom facilities are available at camp), towel, Bible, notebook, pen, camera, and warm clothes (it can get cool at night). There is a snack/gift shop as well as a book table, so be sure to bring some money if you want to buy anything. ACTIVITIES AT CATALINA During the afternoons each day we will have several hours of free time at camp. Activities at Campus by the Sea include kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, hiking into the interior of the island, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis. You may want to bring appropriate clothing, swimsuit, sunscreen, etc. for these activities. PHONE / INTERNET ACCESS AT CATALINA Because we will be at a remote part of Catalina Island, you will have no cell phone reception. There are, however, two payphones you can use should you need to make an emergency phone call. Additionally, should anyone (i.e. family) need to get a hold of you while at camp, they can call (310) 510-0015. They can leave a message and your name with one of the camp staff and the message will be relayed to you. No internet access is available. |
